Sound Diving & Salvage is a New England based boating and diving company founded by licensed captains and certified divers with experience in underwater marine construction, photography for wrecks, salvages, and insurance purposes, as well as vessel, hull, and mooring inspection. Sound Diving & Salvage also offers a “Captain for Hire” service for intercoastal marine transportation and captaining vessels for universities, research, and/ or professional purposes.

Captain Gene Frantz is a lifelong resident of Connecticut with over 30 years of diving and boating experience in New England waters. While the water has always been his passion, Captain Gene took to land and founded his mechanical contracting company in 1995. He grew his business to span all across New England from residential to commercial contracts, and has also managed projects as large as hospitals, hotels, schools, and airports. Captain Frantz has merged his love for the ocean with his experience in construction to create Sound Diving and Salvage. With a lifetime of experience on land and sea, you’re guaranteed to feel at ease with Captain Gene navigating a safe course for all your diving, boating, and waterfront construction needs.
